About Our Friends 'AG' and Felix

The Alan George Rugby Festival will be a day of celebration of our dearly missed friends, Alan George and Felix Rozenbroek.

Alan George, or “AG” as he was more commonly known, was a massive driving force for Rugby in Sheffield which saw him be a prominent figure in local clubs and the Director of Rugby at Sheffield Hallam University.

AG supported, coached and mentored many players over the years.

He was a big character, well respected and a great friend.

The annual AG Rugby Festival is our way of honouring all the hard work, and years of dedication that AG put into the sport of rugby, and supporting the players.

Our friend Felix:

Felix was a former rugby player at Sheffield Hallam University.

The Felix Rozenbroek Fund:

Felix consistently worked hard to get to where he was, whilst also always showing compassion and empathy for everyone around him.  He went above and beyond to ensure he could help and care for as many people as possible, including being a passionate mental health advocate.

Following Felix’s tragic death in 2023, his kindness inspired his family and friends to raise funds and provide the resources needed to help young people to reach their potential. We are working closely with local schools and HEY Smile Foundation.

Donations:

Your support will now go further as HEY Smile Foundation is a registered Charity and will manage donations to support the gift aid process and grant giving.

Your donations are being used to support young people living in Yorkshire, currently through local schools, who need extra support to achieve their goals and overcome personal challenges.
